As previously announced on 18th of February 2026, Scandinavian ChemoTech’s Animal Care business area, VQ Animal Care, reminds the veterinary community that a clinical publication on the use of Tumour Specific Electroporation™ (TSE) for the treatment of equine sarcoids will be presented during the 35th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS), taking place on July 9–11, 2026, in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

The study has been conducted by Prof. Cathrine T. Fjordbakk, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ECVS, Diplomate ECVSMR, Professor in Equine Surgery at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). The publication focuses on the clinical use of TSE within the vetIQure™ platform for treating equine sarcoids in a standing sedation setting.

VQ Animal Care will be present at ECVS with a dedicated booth to showcase its TSE therapy and meet equine veterinarians, surgeons, specialists, and clinicians with an interest in tumour and sarcoid treatments.

Equine sarcoids are among the most common and challenging skin tumours in horses. TSE represents an innovative, tissue-sparing treatment approach that can often be performed without the need for general anesthesia. This may reduce risk, stress, and recovery time for the horse, while also offering practical advantages for clinics and horse owners.
